How can I feedback well to parents and carers of babies and toddlers?
Session 3.1 · Note 3
Feeding Back to Parents of Babies & Toddlers
We sometimes care for very young children in a church creche. Even though these children are too young to be able to know or repeat what you did, you can feedback what you did during the session, what was prayed over the child, and if you noticed anything you saw or sensed God was doing.
As well as the ideas in the previous question, consider the following:
Key Ideas
- You can ask the team to pray for the baby or toddler they are with and feedback in-person or via a journal what the children did, anything they sensed God was saying and what they prayed.
- It can be really helpful to use worship music and share Bible stories, even with the tiniest babies, and allow time for God to meet with them. Tell the parents and carers what you sang or played over the children, and which story you used.
- You can share playlists of the worship music you use in your creche with parents and carers for them to use at home - and invite them to add to it.
- The webinar ‘Parenting for Faith in church with under fives and parents’, on the Parenting for Faith website, is full of ideas for your church creche.
